How to access rehabilitation services

You can access rehabilitation services at Port Macquarie Private Hospital in several ways:

Plan for a Rehabilitation after a hospital stay:

If you have a planned or unplanned stay in Port Macquarie Private Hospital or another hospital for surgery or another acute event, you can choose to take part in rehabilitation at Port Macquarie Private Hospital. Simply ask your medical team to refer you to the Rehabilitation Unit at Port Macquarie Private Hospital for care after your acute treatment. A member of our experienced assessment team will be in contact to arrange your transfer.

Through your General Practitioner or specialist:

You can also be referred to our day rehabilitation program by asking your GP or specialist for a referral to one of our Rehabilitation Specialists. A member of our team will then call you to organise an appointment.

Community allied health:

You can also access rehabilitation services including: Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy and Exercise Physiology and Hydrotherapy as an outpatient, through Ramsay Health Plus. Often no referral is required. You can simply call 02 6583 6947 and make an appointment with one of our friendly reception staff.
